Regional Conference Scholarships

Accepting Applications until December 13

We will accept applications for the Regional Conference scholarship program through Tuesday, December 13, 2022.

URMIA offers three regional conferences, each in a different geographical area of North America, between February and April. These are one- to two-day events offering attendees a more relaxed setting for continuing education, networking, and professional development.

URMIA 2023 Regional Conference Series: Orlando, Anaheim, Boston

Regional conference scholarships are intended to assist URMIA institutional members who require financial assistance to attend. Recipients receive a complimentary conference registration and will be reimbursed for travel and lodging costs, up to a total of $500.

Applicants/nominees must meet the following criteria.

  • The individual must be listed as a current URMIA institutional member. If you are not sure about the individual’s membership status, check the Member Directory or contact the National Office.

  • The applicant/nominee has not attended an URMIA conference in-person.

  • The individual’s job title and responsibilities are directly related to higher education risk management and/or insurance.

  • The individual must demonstrate how they will directly benefit from this educational opportunity.

  • The individual’s direct supervisor must support this opportunity.

Please note that recipients of a 2023 regional conference scholarship are not eligible to apply for a 2023 annual conference scholarship, but they may apply for an annual conference scholarship in a future year.

Application Deadline December 13, 2022

Apply today or nominate a deserving colleague. The application must be submitted no later than December 13, 2022.

URMIA will award six regional conference scholarships to attend the regional program location of the recipient’s choice. Scholarship recipients will be notified in early January.

The award will be applied to the individual’s registration fee automatically and valid hotel and travel expenses will be reimbursed after receipts are submitted, up to $500.
