- Sit in on the sessions at the URMIA Annual Conference and learn what challenges institutional members are having and take that information back to your colleagues
- View a recorded session on a topic you need to learn more about
- Recommend searching the URMIA Library for your colleagues and clients who are also URMIA members
- Pull information from the URMIA Library and share it with a client and recommend they join URMIA for that benefit and much more
Volunteer
Use URMIA’s opportunities to meet those in the higher ed risk management arena and get to know colleagues who are also serving the needs of the campus community.
- Make sure your company/organization is represented on URMIA’s Affiliates Committee. This group meets quarterly and discusses what is going on in URMIA and higher ed risk management and makes plans for future URMIA involvement. (one person per company on the committee, please)
- Check out the Get Involved page on URMIA’s site to find current volunteer opportunities
- Nominate yourself or a colleague to serve as the affiliate representative on the URMIA Board of Directors (a three-year term)
